I think India as a single nation is an unworkable concept. Just look at Soviet Union, it collapsed into multiple states based on different ethnicities and languages and religions etc. I think everyone has to acknowledge that positions and opinions on everything from language and caste have only hardened and not diminished in the last 60 years. Everywhere you see states like Uttaranchal, Jharkand, Chattisgard, Jammu, Assam, Telengana demand in AP, Darjeeling in W. Bengal, Belgaum in Karnataka, Sourashtra in Gujarat, Mewar land in North Rajasthan, North Kerala demand in Kerala, north/south TN etc divisions or demands happening. I am not optimistic that in the next 60 years India will remain a unified country. Maybe best to partition it before civil war erupts.
