It is known fact that Brahmins are the only group other than muslims that have a all india presence and the their population is around 6 to 10 percent. The OBC population is like a inflated balloon..pick a hole and it will blow up and loose up its steam..The question now is who actually is a OBC ? Per Mandal Marathas in maharastra(they used to rule once upona time), lingayats, vokkilagas, jats, patels, reddys etc are considered OBC even though they never faced social discrimination of any kind and always occupied the tenants of power in all spheares..take away these castes and automatically what you is a motley group of BC who are numerically smallers. Also a large subsect of the lower castes BC integrate with the SC making this differentation much difficult. It is time for the Brahmins and other Upper caste to unite and show their power...but alas, most of the UC/Brahmins are rich and are least interested in political power..
