I have been reading all your articles so far on this subject. They are well-written and truely speak about the plight of the 'so-called' upper castes today. Reservations on the basis of caste cannot be the ultimate solution for upliftment of the socially backward. Such policies can only be an impediment to producing quality professionals in our country. First of all, I feel, the political system needs a reform. Eligibility criteria, minimum education qualification, group discussion or open debates, background checks etc needs to be formulated for the parliamentary election candidates. Legislative can be a next step. Political reforms can definitely bring about other reforms in our society. I think, the 'vote-bank' method is not going to be a fruitful one in the long-run for any party. The thought-process will surely be one. Keep up the good work.
