Why V P Singh Remainas (Ir)relavant!
by Seshasayee on Jul 04, 2006 11:54 AM

For those who wish to see India march ahead with bright, talented and capable technocrats, scientsists, administrators and managers VP Singh is the last person they would like to remember. As one of the IAS Officers, (I think it was Mr Almeida) he has taken India back by centuries!. It is the spark he lit, called, "Mandalisation", has now started its ugly destruction with people from all parties for their own self-interests are talking about reservation in every sphere of life. When the going was too bad for him, to retain his position as PM he choose Mandal as his tool and nothing else; the same report of Mandal Mrs Indira Gandhi threw it in some corner.

V P Singh is a man of contradications. Having said that he had always in his pocket the names of those who were involved in the Bofors case and he would release the same within hours once he came to power, he never did anything to reveal the so called names. Having slung mud on Rajiv Gandhi and holding him responsible for the Bofors kickback, when the courts, two years back declared otherwise, took a 180 degree turn and declined his earlier statement. We would certainly remember him for his lies & his opportunistic politics.
