RE:Netaji
by Brian Thomas on Jan 29, 2006 03:49 PM

Your knowledge of Indian History is abysmal. Your understanding of Politics is non-existent.

Netaji's efforts to obtain help from germans to liberate India was the most natural thing to do. In war, your enemy's enemy is your friend. Netaji had no personal preference for hitler. As a matter of fact, during the meeting with hitler, Netaji gave him a piece of his mind for his racist views. He repetedly pressed him to explain why hitler thought the time for Indian Freedom had not come. hitler was put on the backfoot by this intrepid Indian Leader. Consequently the meeting didnot go well. Netaji had also let the german foreign minister Ribbentrop know that Indians didnot think much of the nazis. Netaji then looked towards Japan for help.

During his voyage in the U2 submarine in 1941, he confided to his attendant Dr.Welter Norden that had he stayed back in germany he would probably have shot hitler !

So, dear madam.. please read your history again before you post such political analysis. You should know that you today owe your freedom to this great man. Any other country would have loved to have him as their own. But not India, who can only betray their greats.
