Temple in upheaval
by Paul Mathew on Jan 18, 2006 09:49 AM

I do not understand even in this 21st century people have such faith that a non hindu enters a temple it become un-holy. We are all human beings first and later a hindu, muslim or christaian. A temple which can play the songs sung by yesudas in praise of lord krishna during the worship does not allow yesudas to enter into the temple. This is called stupid faith. The temple authorities will know if a person who enters into the temple is a non-hindu only if he or she is a celebrity or a person well known in the society. There must have been thousands of people who have entered Guruvayoor temples who are non-hindus. So if they have to clease the temple every time a non hindu enters the temple with special pujas then the temple has to keep doing cleansing work through out the year.

When God can accept every human coming to him, i do not know the attitude of these people who claim themselves to be religious.
