CPI

With due respect to TVRS, I have to differ on one count, a very crucial one.
Voting for party as against a candidate essentially leads to failure of the democratic process. All voters must look at only the candidate, his or her ability, honesty, willingness to work hard etc while considering who to vote for.
Then and only then will political parties be forced to induct good and efficient people in the midst to stand for elections. If majority of Indian voters make voting in this manner their habit, then the political parties will slowly start bringing in better quality of people to the elected bodies. I believe that this is the only way out for Indians. And, I hope that writers like Shri TVRS, who can influence public thinking will popularise this line of thinking.
