Thanks to rediff for bringing out the plight of ship-breakers that is rarely ever done in the mainstream media these days. The government must take measures to protect these poor workers and their families. I hope someday there will be a way to help these workers moveon to safer, more exciting professions and more of the shipbreaking work to be automated.
