Although I sympathise with the writers opinion.He has to understand what he is suggesting in terms of a Common/United Hindu Council to issue dictates or recommendations for the benefit of all Hindus worid-wide is impossible.
The very plurality of views and opinions which are accepted and also encouraged within the different practisioners of Hinduism is responsible for the inborn tolerance Hindus have towards practitioners of other religion.Even the word Hindu is never mentioned in anyb of the ancient sciptures.It has being coined by outsiders to denote people living east of the river Sindhu.Its the Sanatan Dharma -the eternal religion by which the people of ancient India have known themselves.
This eternal Religion is for the benefit of all human beings.
