AS "the government also plans to amend existing laws to make registration of all marriages involving Indian brides and NRI grooms compulsory. " It should be also made compulsory to state(during marriage registration) by both groom and bride that no dowry was taken or given during marriage. Haryana Govt has already take step in this direction , when ever someone joins Haryana Govt. he/she has to declare that no dowry was take or given.
