it is all about sanctity of a place. for example a christian may find it strange why shoes should be removed in a place of worship?
i think this whole controversy is unwarranted and as usual stinks of anti-hinduism. if she visited, being a christian, advertently or inadvertently...what is the media trying to prove? that the place has been defiled. she came there, prayed...whether a christian or a buddhist, she prayed. that should be enough. as for regulations of a place of worship, i think it is an internal matter of the religion & there no need to prove anything...
