Is Man capable of insulting the Almighty?
by Chanakya.Vishnugupta on Mar 01, 2006 10:48 AM

Someone drew sketches of Islam's prophet Mohammad. Immediately there were mobs on the streets shouting slogans, throwing stones, burning cars, buses, and killing people. Someone tore the pages of the Koran in the Abu Gharib prison. There were violent protests worldwide resulting in the death of many innocent people. I have a question for all those who take cudgels on behalf of the Almighty. After all who are we? We are mere humanbeings who do not know what awaits us the next moment. We have to suffer pain, hunger, and finally death. Do you think that God is so weak that he needs our support? Do you think the words of a book which the moslems believe to have been revealed to mankind by the almighty can be insulted by man? Dogs bark at the sun, at the caravan, what happens? Nothing. I firmly believe that God is fully capable of defending his own self and his words. He is so much powerful that he does not require our support.
