As far as I remember at the time of murder, the story went around that Ms Bina Ramani was running an illegal bar. The concept of a private party was brought in to save Ms Bina from the prosecution. So it was not a case of social bonding that people did not give evidences. It was a case of influence( fiscal or otherwise), intimidation or any other extreneous circumstance.In India money coupled with political or bureacratic clout can buy anything.M/s Yadav and co do have both in abundance.
