Evidence
by RAJENDER KUMAR on Feb 22, 2006 07:39 PM

This landmark judgement shows the weaknesses in Indian judicial system in which the courts just have to look at the material evidence and can't use rationale! Where will you find eye-witnesses and courageous investigators when this type of people are involved?

Our judicial system needs sensibility & courage? We must ensure that our courts don't have to wait for evidence that Sun rises; They shoud be able to see it for themselves.

In this case, it would have been better had the court summoned Chiefs of Delhi Police and CBI to clarify the position! If they don't satisfy court's senses, court could go to the extent of calling the the Home Minister or even the Prime Minister. After all, we are supposed to be living in a democratic country where law of the land applies evenly to everyone!

Unfortunately, we are fast developing a ABOVE ALL breed in our country to whom neither our police nor our politicians can touch. This type of thing will ultimately result in lawlessness which is a dangerous sign for the nation.
