Saddam not India's friend
by vkumar on Jan 05, 2007 10:39 AM

Saddam is an opportunist who dreamed a united Arabia. A united Arab country is against India's interest as that united Arabia will decide worlds Oil prices and our country will be hugely dependent on that countries mercy. Not only India most of the world will be dependent on that country.

And we cannot expect a good relationship with that country as Saddam a ruthless dictator who killed thousands of country men as its president.

By removing Saddam Americans avoided the possibility of united Arabia in near future.

But I agree the unfair trial followed by hanging
Saddam should have been delayed till more trials and much more detailed and transparent investigations. Considering the crimes he committed against humanity I feel he deserve the verdict he got. If he allowed to freely come out of his prison, that will be the worst crime we do to his victims.

All those support Saddam and take him as a martyr has to remember one thing, Saddam is a just a 'lesson' for all those dictators who suppress democracy and human rights to stay in power. This will be their fate.
