Busted: West Bengal Govt's Claims
by Dr Y N I Anand on Dec 25, 2006 04:51 PM

Sky will not come down if Tatas go elsewhere in the country. 997 acres of farm land is a big chunk for any one to give up. The farmer will blow up his compensation money in no time and will land in a slum after his last rupee is finished. If Tatas do not want Kharagpur land, let them go elsewhere. They are very clever. They know the prominent advantages of Kolkata despite numerous disadvantages As rightly said in the last para, industrialisation should not be at the cost of agriculture on which 60% of our population depends.
