Chief Justice Balakrishnan
by IVNS Raju on Jan 17, 2007 12:01 PM

Dear Balakrishnan,

I wish to see you spearhead the process of making the delivery of Justice with no undue delay. As a citizen of this country I expect you to visit all High Courts, Meet all District Court Heads once in every quarter and set targets of disposal with humane mind.

I also expect you to meet the Ministers of Law and urge them to take action on the Supreme Court Directives.

I do not want to see you sitting in Delhi and confining yourself to the comforts the position offers. Only 10% of the work has only been done and 90% is yet to be completed. India needs a CJI who mobilises the legal infrastructure and make it more responsibe and timely. Time as you know the most precious thing in deliving justice. I urge you to close the following cases for ever:

Jayalalita case
Laloo and Rabri case
All cases of Politicians for corruption and possession of unexplained wealth.
All cases on Civil Servants occupying critical civic positions
All business malpractices
All pollution cases
All civic problem related cases
All financial irregularities reported by CAG.

You need to inform the people of this country about your agenda and give a progress report for public reading on a quarterly basis.

with best wishes to you
--
Raju
