I strongly disagree with the tone of this letter. Agreed that the parents overlooked the requirement of the Visa and hence were basically wrong. However, the description of the incident brings out that the Immigration officers did not behave in courteous and sympathatic manner. It appears,as is typical of any government officials,they were indifferent. Also, what is strange is that there is an appropriate authority at the Airport who has the descretion to grant a temporary Visa but in this incident, benefit of using this descretion was denied to the children. I only hope that this will convince the gentleman to apply for and obtain US citizenship A.s.a.p.
