I am seeing most of the people blaming the immigration official since all are NRI :-). I think, showing humatarian is person dependent in india and not coming along with law unlike other countries law. Also I agree that indian government officials will never behave good in any exception situation.
You may feel bad of their behavior only if you are a NRI since you experienced the good situation in other country. Only different between other country people and indians is, those will try their best to change the situation and we will blame the government.
I am seeing NRIs following all the rules in their resident country and not caring of the same in india. Sorry to ask this, can any tell, what would have been happen if you are landing US without visa. Will they allow you to pass thro' immigration window to airport.
