Rather than going into emotions, if we look at the matter objectively, it was the stupidity of highest order to assume that the foreign citizens (their two children) would be allowed entry without any visa. Even if I am an Indian citizen, if I am travelling back to the country from anywhere, I still need customs clearance. How can one even think of going without visa/passport? Regarding French citizen, I am not sure if the account given here is unbiased.
