Deportation
by Ronald on Dec 21, 2006 12:49 AM

Hi Vijay,

1)Do you think the US immigration officers would allow your kids on humanitarian grounds if you had forgotten their US visa's (had they been travelling on Indian Passports)?

2)Would you think the US immigration would allow your kids entry to US on the basis of faxed documents? - You would not had the chance of the 30 mins which was granted by so called rude officers.

Lastly I agree partially that Air France officials should be punished and sued for their inability to check valid papers before proceeding travel to a foreign destination. I do not agree that Indian officials although no excuse for being rude should be blamed for following the rules of engagement. However if you have the french national contact info where he was allowed entry to India without a valid visa then the officer's involved should be dismissed and an internal inquiry should be initiated.

Hope this is an eye opener to all who intend to travel with the requisite travel documents.

Ron
