Taliban tightens grip in Pak
by labrea on Dec 12, 2006 12:12 AM

Mush's 'peace deal' with the Taliban is a transparent effort by him to blackmail Uncle Sam into continuing economic and political support for him, as he will always be able hold out the bogey of a Pak, with so many Tailbanis about, in danger of falling into the hands of Islamic fundamentalists, unless a 'moderate democrat' like him is kept in charge. So, no matter how many Pak-trained Taliban fighters are pushed into Afghanistan to fight the NATO forces, he is still "the" non-NATO ally in South Asia and will continue to receive billions of US taxpayers dollars for his efforts.
