Dalit movement
by ravi on Dec 07, 2006 08:11 AM

Hi,
Dalit's r very much aware of the rights and fithing for them. This is a good development. The persons who comitted those killings in maharshtra should be hanged. The case should be handed out to a fast track court. But the anger that was shown for Kanpur incident on mumbais streets was too much. It seemed liked a organized gang was doing it. Untouchability is still practised in rural areas. So more efforts of dalit leaders hould be rural. In cities if u have money there is no untouchability. Yes dalit youths suffer from want of capital, but one generation can get get educated and work. Iam sure in the coming years we will see a dalit billionaire. But this can only be acheived with hard work. There is no short cut for this.
