This is backward move - madrassas should be for imparting religious education during non-school hours only, not for full primary and secondary education. If muslims want to be part of the national mainstream they have to interact with the rest of the nation by going to the same schools as everyone else - most lasting friendships are formed during one's high school years - people who play together, stay together, as the saying goes.
