Reservations-a bane to India's progress
by sabi on Aug 30, 2006 11:36 AM

When reservations were first suggested, it was after taking into consideration the situations prevalent in the 1950s.We have had reservation for the past 60 years. It is high time for reservations to GO.

We claim to be secular which means IRRELIGIOUS.Where is secularism when we protect certain sections of society on the grounds that they were "fortunate "enough to be born into a particular community?
Through such backward policies the nation will suffer.Ask today's youth, no one wants reservation, everybody knows that the deserving and meritorious ones should be given opportunities, that is the only way the country will prosper. Can you compare govt companies and PSUs with their reservation policies to the well run private sector companies where things are strictly done on merit?
Now the govt wants to bring done the value of our premier institutes and of the private sector through the out dated policy of reservation. How many of the children of Indian politicians and bureaucrats have to suffer the malice caused by reservation? How many of them get educated in India? It is the children of the "aam jantha" who will suffer ultimately.
