Dont blame politics. Reservation is in our minds.Even in an event as trivial as a tv song contest people of a particular state pitched in to ensure victory for a local participant and that too sadly backed up by free telephone booths set up by a leading industrialist. Why? The other candidates were equal if not better but were denied a fair chance due to this groupism. A look at the roster of all leading companies will prove that there is a preference for employment of particular caste group and region of people over equally qualified or better candidates otherwise. And coming down to our own individual behaviour on any particular day. Just keep an informal record and you will notice that most of our actions are showing a preference to deal with a person of a particular community from amongst the many options even at the cost of getting a substandard product or service. I believe that if everyone of us behaves in a totally just and fair way in every action that we do irrespective of caste colour religion region then the walls of reservation will crumble by itself. The strength of any community is how effectively it brings up others to its level and not how strongly it crushes them
