Awareness of Airline Travel Conditions
by Dr S Banerji on Aug 27, 2006 07:54 AM

Airline passengers should observe certain courtesies when they take flights. Most of us know by now that we cannot smoke on most flights, or have a drink on a domestic one in our country. There could be a case, based on the incident reported here, to spread more awareness about the need to keep cell phones off during all phases of flights, to use laptops only with specific permission of the crew, to observe seat belt signs, and to cooperate with cabin personnel. Drinking plenty of alcohol in a hurry before a flight, is often the cause for unusually boisterous behavior. 4*4 cells are a luxury compared with conditions in Indian jails for those suspected of possible terrorist involvement!
