The actions of the NWA and Dutch authrities were completely justified when the said passengers were involved in activities which they were not supposed to do, even after being asked repeatedly to refrain from such. Their race and appearance added to the suspicion, as time and again such acts of terrorism have been attributed to the Islam fundamentalist, although, I am sure, the vast majority of the Muslms do not approve such acts. So, nothing much should be read into the racial profiling.
