Are passengers racially profiled?
by DJ on Aug 25, 2006 07:21 PM

I don't think so. As long as you follow the rules and behave as normal human beings who will pull you up? From the news what I understood is these 12 people were behaving unusual. Passing mobile phones, roaming around, passing gadgets. What is this? When everybody knows you are not suppose to use any electronic items during takeoff why you should do this and get into trouble? That's means they didnt care. Every body should understand the difference between home and other places. You cant behave as in home. In the view of recent terrorists attacks and plans what Dutch authorities did is all right. They cant take the chance and put remaining 148 passengers on risk. Nobody is racially profiled unless you behave or act in such a way that you get attention or you show you are different. I personnaly think whatever happened was unfortunate and passengers had to undergo mental trauma but the people who did this should be tought a lesson so that they dont commit this act in future and others learn the same lesson.
