Are passengers racially profiled
by Raja Mohan on Aug 25, 2006 10:12 AM

I think the recent incident of Dutch airlines has got nothing to do with race. The behavior of the passengers was suspicious. With a history of sad incidents such as 9/11 behind, how can the crew ignore such behavior? If you are in plane and see a group of people ignoring the crew instructions, passing mobile phones among them, going to toilet while they were asked not to do so while taking off, and moving around in the plane?

If it were before 911 even then they would have faced the treatment from the air marshalls but with the recent history the reaction was more serious.

We need to accept that we belong to a zone from where some people made atrocities that too by exploiting the generocity of a country that allowed education, earning for a huge number of people from other countries. We need to accept extra security measures taken against the asean faces. At one point of time, we were all respected as people from holy land. We enjoyed that because of good works from our forefathers.

We need to suffer now, because of the bad work from some of our brothers.
