What Vande Mataram means to you?
by xdhanpal on Aug 24, 2006 03:26 PM

Vande Mataram, Vande Mataram.

Is it wrong to praise one\\\'s mother? Is it wrong to honour one\\\'s mother? My Mother is mine. So is our Mother Land. Nothing is grater than this. So what\\\'s wrong to praise and honour our Mother Land.

Few translate line I have highlighted here.(Translation by Shree Aurobindo)

\\\"Mother, I bow to thee!

Cool with thy winds of delight,

Dark fields waving Mother of might,

Mother free.

Mother, giver of ease Laughing low and sweet!

Mother I kiss thy feet,

Speaker sweet and low!

Mother, to thee I bow.

To thee I call Mother and Lord!

Though who savest, arise and save!

Lovilest of all earthly lands,

Showering wealth from well-stored hands!

Mother, mother mine!

Mother sweet, I bow to thee,

Mother great and free!\\\"

In our culture, we respect our Mother, so is our Mother Land. I will sing Vande Mataram.

Mother sweet Mother, Mother Land sweet Mother Land.
