What Vande Mataram means to you!
by S. Kumar on Aug 24, 2006 01:47 PM

The song simply means that we are all one inspite of our respective diversities and that we all have one desire that promotes peace and patriotism. Only in a Communist form of Govt. or by thumbrule or by tyranny can one impose something for a Country. We need to proud that our Secular democratic Country stands for Freedom, Fraternity & Liberty, and therefore accomodate space for each other's dignity and sentiments. If reciting this has something to do with a particular religion then it is for the god of that religion to take action not by those who embrace that religion! I believe that our one almighty God desires Love, justice and a Peaceful co-existence among those He has created!
