Vande Mataram
by ejb on Aug 24, 2006 02:23 PM

In the recorded history of mankind, no single word has been powerful enough to change the regime, get hold of generation. Our freedom fighters like Azad and Bhagat Singh recited this word whenever they were tortured. This word gave them the power to do impossible things. (Becoming a threat to the regime at the age of 20 is feat unparallel). Whats wrong if everybody has to sung this song. May be we are stretching personal freedom bit too far. Its about nation not particular religion.

This is the same problem that we can see in europe spl France. In the name of individual freedom they have not tried to integrate the immigrants in the mainstream of society creating small islands of community which cannot relate the nations values.
