Vande Mataram
by B.Shanti on Aug 24, 2006 03:39 PM

Vande Mataram is a beautiful song singing the praises of our motherland India. It reflects the love the poet has for his country and echoes the sentiments of millions of Indians whether in India or abroad.Any Indian who loves his country would sing it with pride and love.
Such a song has to be sung spontaneously and without any hesitation , which child doesnt love his mother?
As the song is in sanskrit it is being associated with Hinduism. It only says my mother is the most beautiful of all and that I salute my mother so why should the Imam or anyone else object to it being mandatory in schools? Isnt it true?
