VANDE MATARAM
by Gopal K. Rayar on Aug 28, 2006 01:14 PM

Vande Mataram means everything to not only me but all Indians who take pride in praising our Mother India. i wonder why shahi Imam of Delhi finds it itching where the lyrics, if one understands in the right sense, praises our mother of all her riches. it has got nothing to do with religion. if we yield to insult our beloved mother and the song in praise of her you would end up with a load of hopeless, non patriotic lot not in the far distant future. the only thing that makes Vande Mataram to protest is that it is written in sanskrit unfortunately discarded and orphaned by our so called secularistic politicians who always associate sanskrit with a religion where other foreign languages like Arab and derivatives like Urudu to be secular. God save our country if our leaders decide that by reciting the praise of our mother would bring harm to the harmony. VANDE MATHARAM
