Song of inspiration
by Balachandra Patil on Aug 24, 2006 02:21 PM

'Vande matharam' is the song of inspiration. Here is its meaning...

Mother, I bow to thee!

Rich with thy hurrying streams,

bright with orchard gleams,

Cool with thy winds of delight,

Dark fields waving Mother of might,

Mother free.

Glory of moonlight dreams,

Over thy branches and lordly streams,

Clad in thy blossoming trees,

Mother, giver of ease

Laughing low and sweet!

Mother I kiss thy feet,

Speaker sweet and low!

Mother, to thee I bow.

This song inspired Indians during the freedom fight. Every Indian should respect this song( at leat looking at its meaning). If some one try to insult this or hate this to get political importance then, it just indicates how much he loves his mother and mother land. Any person who doesn't love his mother and mother land is not fit to live in this great traditional country. Government should make a rule to sing this song in every school and colleges as well as in office's everyday, at least to remember the people who sacrified their life to free mother India from the hands of British. This song will definitly inspire every one to feel that we are one and united.
