RE:Vandematarm
by Neil Razdan on Aug 31, 2006 06:42 AM

Imam Bukhari, and all his followers always come up with anti-national statements. First of all, Vande Mataram is to pay respect to our Motherland, and it praises the Motherland. It DOES NOT bows in front of \"Durga\". Mother India is being praised as \"Durga\" (Durga is being referenced only as an Adjective here). Saying that the song is worshipping Durga is a big mistake. And I still have not seen anybody replying to my question - Why Pakistani army personnel salute the Flag, or even the President who is a human? Should muslims in Indian Armed Fources not salute Indian Flag, or Indian President, Prime Minister, or their superiors? The flags of the country represent the country, Head of States represent the country and its government also. If this is okay, then why this hoopla about singing Vande Mataram. The point is not that by not singing Vande Mataram, muslims will become traitors or anti India, the point is, every time they come up with one thing or the other that goes agains the sentiment of Indianness. Nobody is asking them to go to temples and worship gods and goddesses. And if singing Vande Mataram is anti Islam, then we don\'t want to hear Azaan on loudspeekers either.
