Hi PJ, I am writing this with the assumption that what Ms. Basu told is correct. If you are a female and if you were ill treated by the organizers who invited you to their country for a special occassion, I suggest you to try if you can be calm and composed. You are worried about insults to the organizers. But organizers by ill treating their guest have already insulted the whole representation and they deserve a treatment. If Ms Basu did it in the public it was her choice through which she wanted to make sure that the facts are known to everyone. People who ignited her must have thought about it.
