Rule 1: There is something called "due process" in America. If somebody has been assaulted then follow due process. It works! International rules say that people visiting a country need to know about its rules/laws. Id Ms. Basu claims ignorance she is guilty. If she was aware and she did not file a complaint then she is guilty of obstructing justice.
Fact 2: She chose to vent her displeasure in a public manner at a function in a foreign country organized by people of her our country. She made a generic allegation that "women are harassed"
Rule 2: If one has an iota of something called "pride in one's own community/culture" they will never ever go to a foreign culture/country and publicly humuliate their own culture. India does not always enforce its laws/rules partially because its not there yet partially because Indian cultural system relies more on forgiveness than punishment. Regardless even India has something called "due process". I didn't hear Ms. Basu using it. If one doesn't apply for redressal how can one claim to be a victim ? Please explain.
