Justice Krishna Iyer's comments on money being used for education for everything and anything is valid globaly also. Almost all countries , there is high fee structure now, with many European countries also trying to do that. The recent change in France and the ensuing riots ( even though related to age in employment , the core issue being raising fees. This is the effect of globalization. You feel it more in India because a huge student population is competing for education. Almost all activities including research ( 70%) is market driven.
