Why this I-Day is doubly special
by Venkat on Aug 15, 2006 07:51 PM

Its a pity in India, that we feel shy to acknowledge our glorious history and culture. We Indians are yet to come out of our slave mentality which has creeped in after more than 800 years of foriegn rule and even today we have at the helm of affairs a foriegner. We have embraced Western culture at the cost of our culture and heritage not because of british rule, but becoz of a rule for the past 60 years which is hell bent on ceating a pseudo royal family (which has cleverly imported Gandhi tag).
