Walkouts in Parliament costs Rs.20,000 a minute
by Mrs.K.Meera Bai on Aug 10, 2006 07:37 AM

Instead of wasting tax-payer's money by frequent walkouts and stalling the parliaments the politicians may peacefully discuss the issues for the welfare of
people and save money. Finanace Minister has levied Service Tax and so many other taxes the impact of which the public is experiencing in many ways. Medium and poor Shopkeepers stopped giving bills for the purchases made for fear of service tax. This lead to the increase in black money and excessive purchasing power in people which again lead to inflation.Instead of heavy service taxes and taxes the Government should necessary steps to avoid wasteful Government Expenditures like stalling the Parliaments.
