Is it a case of jealousy?
by Arun on Apr 24, 2006 11:06 PM

Even before reading this article, I had been wondering why the data points seemed to indicate that most people opposed to this deal seemed to be Jewsish. The best conclusion I was able to reach is that pro-Israeli people feel India is getting special treatment and Israel, like Pakistan, is being left out. That feeling of being left out is what could be driving this.

Other than that, they may feel it will hurt the Iranian case 1% but India getting the deal benefits them 0%. The lack of a BJP like bonhomie with Israel would overcome this, but that isn't there between the Congress party and Israel.
