My brother is working in a national daily. He is quiet often used to publish news about interesting events in central asia specially in Tashkent. One fine day he was questioned by the editor of the news paper for highlighting central asia and told him that no one is interested in such news,better to focus on other international affairs. This kind of attitude we are having towards central asia.
