Gross Violation of Individual Rights
by Thomas on Apr 13, 2006 12:31 AM

The move to ban dance bars on some whimsical grounds by politicians is a gross violation of individual rights and should be opposed by all the civil society. I personally do not know or bother what they do is morally degrading or not but I know one thing for sure in south India and many other parts of India prostitution was a regular phenomenon in temples under the garb of religion . Bhartnatyam, and the related dance forms are the modified dance of prostitutes - the great classics of India.
Bannign dance bars is the worst encroachment on human rights and the civil society should give a dumb ear to this.
