discrimination in Mumbai
by Seetaram Ponugupati on Apr 11, 2006 03:33 PM

I agree by and large with the author. There is a great level of discrimination (in western words - racism) exists in Mumbai. Being a non Maharashtrian, I faced it to 100%. Literally you can not live with a group that does not belong to you. You can never manage a good price unless you speak their language. You can manage to get your money payments in time from people other than of your community. In short, Mumbaikars are honest only within their ethnic group.

But again my linen is not clean too.. I would not prefer to live in a complex where there are little vegetarins in number. I can not bare smell of meat being cooked!
