Before making any comments why don't you actually sit and analuze that in India discrimination is at all level and practically every baody hates everybody.you yourself has said maharshtrian won't find house in gujarati locality, within maharashtrians they discriminate brahamin vs. non brhaamin, thn there are kolis vs rest of them etc etc etc...
Even in north india's delhi it is punjabi vs non pujabis, then within punjabis , it is refugee punjabis vs rest of punjabis, then rest of the pujabis vs sikhs, wihin sikhs it is khatris vs non khatris, then again refugess vs jats , then jat vs bhoprais, then agisn one with diff sort of pagres etc etc et...
I will give you my exmple I'm a hindu from meerut(notorious for communal riots), but i have soft corner for any body from western up irrespective of religion, given a option i make better aquiantence with a muslim from meerut than my cast fellow from haryana or eastern up,
The problem with muslims is that they only fall for co-religionist irrespective of region this antagonise there co regionists. e.g a muslim is more vocal for Palestine than kashmirei pandits being butchered,or they are worried about iraq then indians in FIJl
