Why I won't live among Hindus
by K.R. Sreenath on Apr 11, 2006 12:45 PM

I was shocked at reading the above article. I was under the impression that we are first Indians and then the other things like Hindus, Muslims etc., If a housing society discriminates a minority religious group, it should be brought to the notice of the concerned so that some remidial action could be taken up and such conditions do not exist. I would like to add that Muslims living in India are also Indians. How can we ever seperate them from our society. It is wrong and will lead to a lot of tension. I have said many times that Hinduism is the most progressive religion and it welcomes all. I have read somewhere that Hinduism is not a religion but the philosophy of Life. It teaches us the ways of life and how to be a good person. People who try to impose the ideologies of Hinduism should first read all available material on Hinduism before talking about the religion.
