Every coin has 2 sides..

i can feel the sense of hurt which the author experiences but before making grand statements like he would not live in a hindu society he should look within for answers.

i have seen riots pretty closely. i know of many close acquiantances who live in areas which have sizeable muslim population & have heard of their experiences.

coming back to the story, the author starts by stating that he doesnt want to live in a hindu locality then why is he shocked to hear the same thing from the other side?

the story of sikhs is different. the anti-sikh riots was a political riot. sikh strive on their identity but they dont expect to be handled with kid gloves. they dont look for free lunch. they are a brave, hard working, forward looking community. the muslim community in india should look within. why do they oppose issues of national interest like - family planning, common civil code in the name of religion? why dont they agree or strive within for scientific education rather than stick to the unscientific & fanatic education imparted by madrassas? why do they riot in THEIR country to protest a cartoon printed in SOME COUNTRTY which none of them has seen?
