India's Nepal dilema
by labrea on Apr 07, 2006 08:03 PM

One look at the Nepali political parties and you realize they're a bunch of childlike, infantile squabbling children, totally incapable of creating any kind of stable govt, either in coalition or on thier own. One can almost see why an exasperated King Gyanendra threw out those bumbling, bungling fools and idiots, and took matters into his own hands. So, in her own national intersts, India must take whatever steps necessary to help in the creation of at least one cohesive, well-structured national party, say the Nepali Congress, otherwise, Nepal will be mired in turmoil and Maoist insurgency for decades to come, which can only ascerbate the already widespread Maoist insurgency in India itself. It's time for the wonks in Delhi to do some real thinking, and fast!
